Grace grew up in a creative family, her mother a visual artist and father a musician, so was drawn to film as a means of carving her own creative path.
While in a lighting workshop class at uni, whereby a dressed set was required to be lit well, Grace found herself obsessed with creating the ultimate visual portrayal of a fortune teller’s den. This was the moment Grace knew design was her happy place, and was overjoyed to learn that this passion could lead to a career!
These days, Grace finds joy from scanning others’ verge side junk, uncovering gems in overlooked corners of outer suburban op shops, making props under adrenaline-filled pressure and putting herself in the shoes of misfit characters to decipher what might live on their bedside table.
Grace has taken every opportunity that work in the art department has offered and has thus developed a CV that showcases a range of roles on TVCs, TV series and feature films. Most recently, Grace is honing in on the craft of dressing and buying for a set and is eager to continue to learn from mentors and fellow creatives.
